Island Dental Care is Independently owned and has been a long established practice in the heart of Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight for many years. We are situated in a Grade II listed building, so although we are not modern, we have certain charm.
We see NHS , Private patients, we manage referrals for Oral Surgery or Sedation.
Private patients have options of 'pay as you go' , or payment plans where the payments are split over a manageable monthly direct debit. Plan patients benefit from 'Exclusive Discounts' .
Our Services
We offer a wide range of dental services, from tooth restorations to surgical removal of teeth; Implants and Cosmetic treatments, professional hygiene and facial aesthetics. NHS treatment available to existing NHS patients. NHS Minor Oral Surgery on referral.

Private Dentistry at Island Dental Care.
Due to the decline in NHS dental practices, many patients are now choosing to go privately for their dentistry.
We still have a small NHS contract at Island Dental Care, although we are not accepting any new patients onto this list. We are accepting patients only privately.
- Private appointments allow us to allocate more time to each patient, this allows time to discuss concerns, ask questions and to receive personalised advice regarding your treatment options and maintenance of your oral health. We pride ourselves in a personalised approach, taking time to understand your preferences, and concerns. We want our patients to leave having had a comfortable treatment and to be satisfied with their experience.
- We can offer a wide range of services privately, including cosmetic dentistry and dental implants, all of which can be tailored to suit your individual needs and timeframes.
- We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment for dental imaging (intra and panoral xrays and CBCT scans) – allowing us to provide accurate diagnoses and efficient treatments. We also use digital scanning for laboratory made prosthesis such as crowns, bridges and dentures; this reduces the need for the gooey impressions that nobody likes.
- Private dentistry offers you the ability to enhance your smile with cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening, veneers, or crowns.
- Our Dentists and hygienists will be able to provide you preventive care and patient education with additional guidance on oral hygiene, diet, and lifestyle choices to help you maintain a healthy smile between appointments.
To register as a private patient, please contact reception to book your first appointment with one of our dentists. Your initial consultation is £100, and includes 2 intra oral xrays.
Finance is available for treatment plans above £500 through Tabeo Finance *subject to status
